BSA created a partition—now what?

I had to leave when BCA was creating a partition for Windows. According to Apple’s Book Camp Help, this is Step 6 of Prepare Your Mac for Windows: “Boot Camp Assistant copies support software to the USB drive [I am using a thumb drive, is that a NO-NO?], creates a Windows partition named BOOTCAMP, restarts your Mac, then opens the Windows installer.”

When I came back there was indeed an icon named BOOTCAMP on my desktop. No files inside however, other than invisible files. I do not know if BCA restarted my computer, but it apparently did not open the Windows installer.

The USB thumb drive does have a number of files in it, so apparently the support software was indeed copied into it.

So, at this point, how do I instruct BCA to resume the process? Or, how do I open the Windows installer and install Windows? Do I have to start all over again?

Thank you in advance for your help!
